§ 7-28. Traffic.

  • (a)

    Motor vehicles prohibited. It is unlawful for any person to operate any motor vehicle or motorcycle or motor-driven cycle or moped on the beach.

    (b)

    Application to emergency vehicles, helicopters and other certain vehicles. The prohibition provided for in this section shall not apply to authorized emergency vehicles operating on the beach upon official authorized emergency business including, but not limited to, beach patrol, police, fire department, ambulance and lifeguard vehicles. This section shall not apply to helicopters when authorized to land upon the Atlantic Ocean Beach by the department of public safety personnel. It shall also not apply to any other vehicle that obtained permission from the public safety department.
