§ 7-27. Removal of sand, shell, etc.

  • (a)

    It shall be unlawful for any person to excavate, bulldoze or remove sand, shell, rock or earth from the beaches within the corporate limits of the city, and any of the above conduct shall be unlawful regardless of ownership of the adjacent or abutting property by such person. However, the above provisions shall not apply to incidental and minor use, digging or shoveling by children and other individuals as part of the recreational use of the beaches.
