§ 6-40. Purpose and intent.

The purpose of this article is to create a pilot program to permit backyard hens in certain residential zoning districts in which they are currently not permitted. This article establishes criteria and limitations so as to avoid adverse impacts on neighboring properties and residents, and to provide for the health and safety of the chickens. Nothing herein shall supersede any legally adopted, recorded restriction within any platted neighborhood.
