§ 27-475. Street classification.

Latest version.

To regulate street design standards such as access, road and right-of-way widths, circulation patterns, design speed, and construction standards, all existing and all proposed streets in the city shall be classified. Existing roadways are classified as documented in the future land use and traffic circulation map. Proposed streets shall be classified based on anticipated road function per publications such as the Traffic Engineering Handbook (by the Institute of Transportation Engineers) and/or A Policy on Geometric Design of Highways and Streets (by the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials).
