Article III. SEWERS AND SEWAGE DISPOSAL |
§ 23-51. Definitions.
The following words, terms and phrases, when used in this article, shall have the meanings ascribed to them in this section, except where the context clearly indicates a different meaning:
Lateral sewer means any sewer that may be connected with a main sewer. When the city constructs or builds a lateral sewer from a main sewer to the curbing or boundary line of the street, or to the sidewalk, the same shall be considered and construed as having been constructed and built to the lot or piece of land abutting thereon and into which such lateral sewer would enter if extended.
Main sewer means such sewer as has been or may be laid by the city or its authority along any street or running with such street.
