§ 22-33. Handicapped parking spaces—Enforcement.

  • (a)

    For the purpose of enforcing handicapped parking space violations, F.S. §§ 316.1955, 316.1956, 316.1957, 316.1958 and 316.1959 hereby are adopted and incorporated herein by reference, including all penalties contained therein, including such amendments as may hereinafter be enacted by the state legislature, as the handicapped parking space enforcement law of the city.

    (b)

    Any individual who successfully completes a training program established and approved by the criminal justice standards and training commission for parking enforcement specialists may, without compensation, be designated by the chief of police as a parking enforcement specialist for the sole and limited purpose of enforcing the handicapped parking space law violations.
