§ 21-86. Imposed.
Latest version.
Pursuant to the provisions of F.S. Ch. 185, there is hereby assessed and imposed on every insurance company, corporation or other insurer engaging in the business of casualty insurance, in addition to all other excise or license taxes, an excise or license tax upon the privilege of engaging in or carrying on the business of casualty insurance in the city, amounting to one (1) percent of the gross amount of receipts of premiums from policyholders on all premiums collected on casualty insurance policies covering property in the city.
