§ 20-18. Diving boards.

  • No diving board shall be installed in a pool less than thirty (30) feet long nor in a pool whose greatest depth is less than eight (8) feet. A depth of not less than ten (10) feet shall be required for a three-meter board. In a pool with a diving board, the minimum required depth of the deepest section of the pool shall be located not closer than ten (10) feet from the deep end wall where the board is attached. In such pools the water shall be at least four (4) feet six (6) inches deep at a distance twenty (20) feet from the deep end wall. The lateral distance between the center of the diving board and a side wall shall be at least seven (7) feet six (6) inches on a rectangular pool. The end of the board shall extend at least two (2) feet from the deep end wall.
