§ 16-1. Assessment of court costs.

Every person convicted for a violation of a municipal ordinance or of F.S. Ch. 316, shall, in addition to the payment of the fine and/or imprisonment, pay such court costs as shall be adjudicated by the judge and, in addition, shall pay the sum of two dollars ($2.00) as the assessment provided by F.S. § 943.25(13). However, no such assessment shall be made against any person convicted for violation of any state statute or municipal ordinance relating to the parking of vehicles.
